What is the Intake Questionnaire Type, and where do I set it?

It's a setting on the appointment type itself, and it's the very first thing checked when an appointment is created. It controls whether intake reminders go out at all, and if so, which version of the intake gets sent.

What happens if I leave it as "Not Set"?

The patient gets the standard intake on both the email/SMS reminder and the AI voice reminder call. One thing to watch for: if the appointment type's name contains the words "Follow Up," the system automatically treats it as if it were set to FollowUp, even though the field itself says "Not Set."

How do I stop reminders from going out entirely for a certain appointment type?

Set the Intake Questionnaire Type to NoReminder. This suppresses both the email/SMS reminder and the AI voice call completely — the appointment type is excluded from both channels.

What does the FollowUp type do?

It swaps the standard intake questionnaire for a follow-up questionnaire on both channels (email/SMS and AI voice call). This is useful for appointment types where a full new intake doesn't make sense.

What does NonHPI do, and how is it different from NoReminder?

NonHPI is a voice-agent-only configuration. The email/SMS reminder still sends the standard intake, but the AI voice call changes behavior: instead of walking the patient through intake, the call simply confirms the appointment and skips intake questions entirely.

Does NewPatient change what reminders are sent?

No. NewPatient has no effect on the intake reminder logic — both channels behave exactly as if the type were "Not Set" (standard intake on both). Its only effect is excluding that appointment from the Day 1 Tempo communique.
