# How to Select and Insert Section Templates in Bulk in a Visit Note?
## This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to efficiently complete documentation using the Use Section Templates feature in a visit note
Section templates allow you to quickly complete parts of a visit note, which you can then edit as needed. The **Use Section Templates** feature now lets you select options for multiple sections simultaneously - like Physical Exam, Review of Imaging, and Plan - arrange their sequence, and add them all at once.
Open the patient’s encounter so the **Visit Note** is on the screen.
In the visit note toolbar, click **Use Section Templates**. It sits next to Use Master Template.
The Use Section Templates window shows a tab for each note section: **All, Subjective, Physical Exam, Review of Imaging, Additional Assessment,** and **Plan**. Click the tab for the section you want to fill in. The left panel lists the templates available for that section.
\> **Tip:** Click **All** to see templates for every section in one list.
In the search box, type part of the template name (for example, “right heel…”). The list filters as you type. **Click the checkbox** next to the template you want to select.
The template now appears under **Template order** on the right, grouped under its section. The counter at the top shows how many templates you’ve selected, and the button at the bottom will change to indicate how many templates you’re adding (e.g., “Add 1 Template”).
Click another section tab (for example, **Plan**) and tick the templates you want there. Your search text carries over, so you can quickly find matching templates in each section. Everything you pick stays in Template order, grouped by section.
Repeat as needed for other sections, such as **Review of Imaging**.
Before you add the templates, review them under Template order:
- To **reorder** templates within a section, drag a template by its handle to change its position.
- To remove a template, click the **X** next to it.
- To start over and remove every section, click **Clear All**.
- To see a preview, click **Preview** to check the content before it is inserted into the note.
When ready, click **Add \[number\] Templates** (for example, “Add 3 Templates”). This adds all your selected templates at once.
Each template’s content now appears in its corresponding section of the visit note. Read through the text and edit it as needed for the patient.
Click **Save** to keep your changes.
